Cyber Deception Technology: Fighting Hackers with Misdirection

Traditional cybersecurity focuses on blocking attackers before they gain access to a network. However, a growing strategy called Cyber Deception Technology takes a different approach. In contrast, deception assets should rarely be touched by legitimate users, making alerts far more meaningful and allowing analysts to prioritize real threats.

Large enterprises, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and government agencies increasingly use cyber deception as part of a layered security strategy. Rather than replacing firewalls, endpoint protection, or intrusion detection systems, deception technology adds another defensive layer that improves visibility into attacker behavior.
